Standing Together in Hard Times

Standing Together in Hard Times

Our community is facing some difficult days ahead. With the government preparing to pause SNAP benefits during the ongoing furlough and shutdown, many families in Clayton County will be directly impacted. For many, this means uncertainty about how to provide for their loved ones — and that’s something no family should have to face alone.

In response, we’re taking action. Partnering with City Councilwoman Kimberly James, we are organizing a community food initiative to ensure that local families have the resources they need to get through this challenging period.

Looking ahead to the holiday season, we are also joining forces with the Mayor of Morrow and the Morrow City Council to launch a Community Holiday Giveaway, providing essential items like toys, clothing, pajamas, and toiletries to families in need.

These are challenging times, but together, we can make a difference. Our community has always been built on compassion, unity, and service — and when we come together, there’s nothing we can’t overcome.

Compassion and community are the heart of true leadership.
